This coming week-end will find an international gathering of HypnoBirthingChildbirthEducators (HBCE) in Austin, Texas.  The purpose of the gathering is plentiful: some have come to be certified as National Guild of Hypnotists hypnotherapists, others want to learn infant massage, a new group will study HypnoBirthing in preparation for becoming HBCE, yet another will focus on Somatic Healing.  As if that wasn’t enough to be impressive there will also be doula training in support of HypnoBirthing, HypnoFertility Therapist certification and Parts Therapy.

In addition a series of 90-minute seminars are offered with topics ranging from Sexuality in Pregnancy, Holistic Parenting, the Unborn Connection, Spiritual Awareness of Mother and Baby, and Guide to Helping Couples Through Pre-and Perinatal Loss.  Many more seminar topics are offered plus plenary sessions and entertainment.  There will also be vendors on the premises offering a great variety of items of interest to HBCE and babies.

Marie (Mickey) Mongan, the mother of the HypnoBirthing movement, will preside over the conclave.  Mickey continues to be very active as a teacher and advisor to all HBCE.  Her energy level and creativity is unsurpassed.   She travels the world and the United States to share her wonderful program and to teach new HBCE.  She is also busily developing a movie, she writes news letters and she is a prolific contributor to the HypnoBirthing Nest.

I am looking forward to attending the conclave and to absorbing new energy and ideas from my fellow HBCE. It’s good to be able to travel and to return with renewed enthusiasm for HypnoBirthing to benefit future students.
