Handle With Care Memories Aboard

How we develop and retain memories is an interesting question and to find answers scientists have performed several studies in the area.  One study reports that they have located a “fear factor” gene that controls how mice react to impending danger.  Another study found, that the human brain can learn to fear something like a bee sting, when we view someone else getting stung.

Scientists may have discovered something quite extraordinary namely those bad memories are glued to the brain.  The glue seems to be a protein that is key to maintaining the cells and also to embryonic development.

This is fascinating and a bit frightening.  The more we learn about memory formation and retention the more important it becomes that we select our memories with a great deal of discretion.   Of course, we are not always in a position to select memories. At times our environment imposes awful events that stay locked in our brains.  Soldiers returning from the battle field or survivors of natural disasters might develop post traumatic stress disorder; the same can be true for some crime victims.

Our sub conscious mind retains every single memory we ever experienced which is the reason hypnotherapy works so well to alleviate and negate destructive memories.  Hypnosis addresses the sub conscious mind.  A skilled practitioner can help the client access the hidden memories and facilitate healing.

We still have much to learn regarding therapy which is one of the reasons it’s so important that we avoid creating fearsome memories.  One way we can accomplish this is to ensure that our babies are born in a gentle natural manner.

HypnoBirthing ® offers natural child birth with deep respect for the baby and the mother.  The mother learns to prepare for birth by using self hypnosis and relaxation.  She is encouraged to practice daily and to condition her body and mind to respond to the baby so she will be born in the correct time in a gentle loving manner.

The birth memories of a baby born in tranquility and love will be positive thereby giving the child a solid foundation for growing up as a healthy human being.
