I would love for all parents and for all prospective parents to ,at the very least, be made aware that they indeed have options. I believe that more parents will choose nature’s way if they realize they have that option.

Beth, sadly you are so correct “bad” things happen even to the most careful and lovig person. A small consolation is for the parent to know they did everything right according to what they know. Another positive is the available support freely given to any seeker.

You are very welcome to this blog and congratualtions on your weight loss. As I’m sure you have noticed, we use hypnosis as our main tool for everything we do because hypnosis is very effective and wonderfully free of negative side effects.

Today I am celebrating a year free from the use of psych meds for Bi Polar Disorder. How was I able to do this? Counseling? The answer is no. With Stella’s help and Hypnosis I have been able to reclaim my life. There was a time in my life before hypnosis that I had come to the reality that I would have to take Prosac for the rest of my life. I had tried several times at the request of my Doctor to go off Prosac but I would soon find myself back to having problems and Prosac was the answer. Then I started having serious anger problems to the point of wanting to hurt others which is so opposite of the kind of person I know I am, so that meant taking another medicatin along with the Prosac. Adding the other medication got the anger under control but then the depression got worse. I just seemed to go through life between not feeling anything to being very unhappy and depressed.
That is when Stella came up with a plan of action. We used hypnosis and writing charts to monitor my feelings and emotions, both negative and positive. I continued seeing my Doctor who knew about the hypnosis and was willing to support me through it. Even to the point of helping me go off medication. Then this Doctor went into another office that was not covered by my insurance (Kaiser) so I started with a new Doctor but was not happy with her. So I decided to take care of myself and finish the tapering off of medication. I continued to work with Stella who supported me but also reminded me that the Doctor knew more than she (Stella) about medications and there uses. Stella never encuraged me to stop the meds. She has really made a big difference in my life. I now am getting back to being a very happy person.

Actually I’m thinking that the docs want to “do something” because they want to be useful. They are thinking like engineers: they want to fix things and don’t realize, that nature really doesn’t need help.

Most probably you are correct in thinking that most docs quit learning new things after they become attending, especially when it comes to OB, but we can continue to teach all the same.
